Accessibility for Visually Impaired
DataForce supports the development of AI for the visually impaired.
The Problem
Our client is a Fortune 500 company excelling in accessibility hardware and software. To improve human-machine interactions, developers must consider the variety of content and quality of images. Rapid and high-quality transcriptions needed to be collected to increase the amount of data available to our client in order to provide accessibility for visually impaired users.
The Solution
The TransPerfect team hired and trained over 140 language annotators in multiple international cities to input data in an annotation tool. Annotators focused on providing objective captions to describe a multitude of images while also meeting well-defined grammar and quality guidelines. Our team also created safe environments to meet with confidentiality protocols, including highly secure offices with restricted access, cameras, and additional security steps.
