TransPerfect’s premier annual tech-user conference, GlobalLink NEXT Americas, unfolded in September. This special event experienced a significant shift as it found its home at our headquarters in the vibrant city of New York. Over the course of two packed days, attendees were treated to a rich program encompassing innovation spotlights, enlightening case studies, engaging product workshops, and diverse breakout sessions. In the wake of this inspiring gathering, we are thrilled to share some of the most compelling insights and conversations from a wide array of industries.

As OEMs buy in ready-made solutions for in-car infotainment systems, it is important to emphasize how these solutions can benefit from customization based on additional speech data, annotations of real data or user testing. Making speech recordings for the specific car functions, transcribing user utterances, or doing end-to-end user testing of the interface can greatly improve the usability and user experience. In this presentation we will describe a number of relevant data services as well as present some case studies to support our message.

The popularity of accessibility continues to advance globally, allowing everyone, especially those with disabilities, to get the most out of the world around them. As these accommodations become more common, it’s important to recognize that accessibility is not just valuable for preplanned and prerecorded content—especially when almost any event can be live-streamed.

Today, TransPerfect employs 8,000 highly-skilled professionals in 43 countries, translating more than 10 million words per day for some of the largest and most important organizations and institutions on the planet. And I’m immensely proud to report that in 2022, we generated $1.16 billion in revenue — a 4.6% growth over the previous year. Thirty consecutive years of revenue growth from what began as a bootstrapped startup by an NYU grad student who planted a seed right here in New York and grew an oak of a business.
