TransPerfect Wins "Sales Meeting of the Year" at the 2009 Stevie Awards

NEW YORK, NY, February 13, 2009 – TransPerfect Translations, a leading provider of language and business services for multinationals worldwide, was presented with the “Sales Meeting of the Year Award” on Monday at the third annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners were announced during a gala banquet on Monday, February 9 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Nominated customer service and sales executives from the U.S.A. and several other countries attended. 

TransPerfect was honored for its annual leadership summit and 15-year anniversary celebration held in January 2008. More than 750 employees from around the world attended the New York conference, which included four days of training, networking, and celebratory events. The keynote address was delivered by former Secretary of State General Colin Powell on the topic of global leadership. In addition, the Office of Mayor Michael Bloomberg, in recognition of TransPerfect’s 15 years of business leadership, declared December 9, 2007 “TransPerfect Day” by official proclamation.

More than 500 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted to this year’s competition. Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.
