TransPerfect Translations Appoints A. Brooke Christian Senior Vice President Of Sales
January 28, 2004 - TransPerfect Translations, Inc. today announced the appointment of A. Brooke Christian as Senior Vice President of Global Sales. Mr. Christian began his career at TransPerfect in the role of Regional Sales Director for the Washington, DC area in 1996. Through the years, Mr. Christian has assumed ever-increasing areas of responsibility, culminating with leading the TransPerfect domestic sales effort. In Brooke's new role, he will not only be responsible for accelerating the company's US sales, but also for overseeing all US client service and participating in corporate decisions on a strategic level.
"Much of our strong growth in 2003 was due to the foundation Brooke laid in his previous position at the firm. He has an impressive track record of working closely with clients to ensure we are always providing the best and most complete solution available in the language industry," said Liz Elting, TransPerfect's President and CEO. "His achievements, as well as his communication and leadership skills, are what prompted us to name him the first Senior Vice President in TransPerfect history."
Christian's sales staff now totals over 50 and collectively manages over $22 million in annual revenues. His key clients are a who's who of major corporations, including ExxonMobil, Walt Disney, and Sprint. Further, his penetration in the field of legal and phramaceutical translations has made TransPerfect a leader in those respective market segments. He has been instrumental in establishing relationships with many of the largest pharmaceutical and clinical research companies in the world. Novartis, Aventis, GlaxoSmithKline, Quintiles, PPD, MDS and many others all regularly turn to TransPefect to meet their linguistic needs. Christian played an integral role in developing those relationships and is actively helping to maintain them and implement best practices for each client.

Christian has a Master's in Sports and Business Management, as well as BS in Business Administration, both from the University of Florida.
