Blue1 Partners With Translations.com for European Expansion Effort

Translations.com, a provider of enterprise translation services and globalization management solutions, has been selected by Blue1 to support the airline's expansion into European markets and for the localization of workflow and integrated translation memory technology.
Blue1 has a limited e-commerce staff and the airline needed a comprehensive solution that would allow them to manage a 10-language website without expanding internal headcount.
To support the airline's need for a streamlined content management system, Translations.com teamed up with Logica, an IT and business services company, to provide an integrated solution that combined Translations.com's proprietary globalization management software, GlobalLink Project Director, and EPiServer content management system.
The individual translators will connect to the system through Wordfast 6.0, a next-generation software application that maximizes translator efficiency. This customized system enabled Blue1's existing staff to manage content updates and add new languages without hiring additional personnel.
