Application Developer- New York
Description
- We are currently seeking a talented and bright individual to work in our New York office as a senior software developer to be part of a small highly-skilled team. Primary responsibilities will be to develop internet-based business database applications and reports using ASP.Net, C#, ADO.Net, and Crystal Reports with a SQL Server backend. Working knowledge of Infragistics NetAdvantage, Microsoft Application Blocks, and Microsoft best practices a plus. Must be a team player who can handle multiple projects at a time. Must be able to reverse engineer and fix bugs in existing code as well as develop new features and functionality.
- Assume ownership of existing code base, including bug fixes and hot patches
- Develop and document new project requirements, specs and schedules
- Implement architectures that satisfy project requirements and provide future leverage
- Adhere to project schedules and reporting during development and construction phases
- Promote the sharing of common architectural constructs, standards and frameworks across projects within the organization
Requiremented Skills
- Strong knowledge of and experience using: ADO.Net, ASP.Net, C# and SQL Server
- Excellent creative problem-solving capability
- Ability to rapidly acquire new skills and competencies
- Ability to articulate technical system structures to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to rapidly acquire new skills and competencies
- Ability to articulate technical system structures to technical and non-technical audiences
- 5+ years experience designing and implementing n-tier solutions on Microsoft platforms
- 3+ years of ASP.NET, C# software development experience
- 1+ years experience with Infragistics NetAdvantage
- Experience in designing and implementing relational databases, specifically SQL Server 7.0 or 2000
- Experience with Crystal Reports APIs for integrations with .NET applications.
- In-depth experience with and understanding of Microsoft .NET
- Experience managing requirements development and software specification documents
- Experience with Great Plains or other financial systems
- Strong Oral and Written communication skills
- Fast learner who can work with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
