Controller - New York
Description
- Manage daily activities of the finance department including all general ledger activities and account reconciliations
- Make recommendations and implement process improvements and system enhancements
- Prepare and review financial statements, consolidations and various schedules and reports as needed
- Ensuring global accounting records are in accordance with GAAP and corporate policy
- Review and monitor account balances in both income statement and balance sheet accounts for all reporting affiliates
- Assist in the direction of financial planning, budgeting and financial analysis
- Manage audit process with external auditors and tax professionals
- Work on special projects assigned by upper management with speed and accuracys
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in accounting
- Working knowledge of Great Plains general ledger package preferred and FRx and Crystal report writer required
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills, international experience a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Access)
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Timely and accurate reporting
- Willingness to learn, flexible and ability to work effectively under management deadlines
- Team player
